Jim grew up in Buffalo, New York and went to college in Boston where he met his wife, Jess.  After graduating they both moved to New York City where he started an eighteen-year career at JPMorgan. He was responsible for interest rating trading desks in Tokyo, NY, and London before leaving the business in the summer of 2019.  He is also on the board of the New Canaan YMCA and the president of the New Canaan Basketball Association.

Jim and his family moved to New Canaan in early 2014 after having lived abroad in London for the previous two and a half years.  You can find him regularly walking his dog Thor around town or playing pickup basketball.  He is an active contributor to his children's soccer and basketball teams and is excited for his daughter to start high school sports in the fall.

Jim was introduced to the Community Foundation as a non-board member of the finance committee.  Since joining the board he has also joined the community investments and behavioral health committees and led the behavioral health grant review team in 2024.
