Monica Capela Chimera

Monica and her husband, Charlie, moved to New Canaan in 2011. Their family includes four children, ranging in ages from 17 to 5.

Monica is passionate about serving her community. She is Co-Chair of Friends of Mead Park Playground, the grassroots nonprofit group that spearheaded a fundraising campaign to transform the playgrounds at Mead Park. She is also Co-Chair of New Canaan Moms Community Collective, another nonprofit group established during the pandemic to provide assistance to individuals and nonprofit organizations in New Canaan and surrounding communities.

Monica holds a B.S. in Political Science from Purchase College. Together with her husband, she is a licensed Foster Parent with the state of Connecticut.
