Suzanne Harrison

Suzanne is a longtime resident of New Canaan and an alumna of the New Canaan Public Schools. She moved back to New Canaan 18 years ago with her husband John, where together they have raised their three boys (18, 15 & 14).

Since leaving a longtime career in marketing and communications to raise her children, Suzanne has been an active volunteer in New Canaan with the schools, sports boards, community organizations and St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, where she currently serves as Vestry Clerk and co-chair of the Endowment & Capital Campaign and Annual Stewardship Appeal.

Suzanne began volunteering with NCCF four years ago and has been a member of the Behavioral Health Committee since its inception. She has also been active in the Grant Review Committee, Community Investments Committee and the ARPA grant recommendations on behalf of the funding allocated to the town. Last year Suzanne had the opportunity to co-chair the Spring Luncheon.

Most recently, Suzanne earned her EMT license and began riding with New Canaan EMS. It’s quite a departure from her degree in Broadcast Journalism from USC (1992), but Suzanne feels working with NCEMS allows her to give back to the community in a uniquely impactful way.
