Dan Rashin

Dan Rashin retired in 2018 as Co-President and CEO of Rockefeller Group, the real estate company known for the development of Rockefeller Center, and currently active in office, industrial and residential development projects in markets across the US.  Prior to Rockefeller Group, Dan spent 20 years at Hines, the international real estate firm, in various development and investment management positions. He also worked for the Yarmouth Group and its Australian parent company, Lend Lease, in their New York, Sydney and London offices, as an asset manager, portfolio manager and the CEO of its Australian and UK-based real estate investment management businesses.  Before embarking on a career in commercial real estate in 1985, Dan was a litigation attorney.

Dan earned a BA from Williams College in Economics and a JD from Harvard Law School.  He and his wife, Penny, moved to New Canaan in 1995. They have two sons, both of whom graduated from New Canaan High School, and two grandchildren (so far). He was a member of the Anglo-American Real Property Institute, serving a term as its Chair, and sat on the Carleton College Parents Council for three years.  Dan is an avid golfer, tennis and paddle tennis player.
