Carrie Kurtz, Development Director

Carrie is joining the New Canaan Community Foundation as Development Director after serving as a volunteer for the Foundation and other local nonprofit organizations since moving to New Canaan in 2013. 

Carrie attended the University of Vermont, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance, and worked in institutional banking at Citicorp and then FactSet Research Systems before matriculating at Georgetown University where she received her Masters in Business Administration. After Georgetown, Carrie served as a Senior Vice President at Capital IQ, a leading business software company based in New York, where she helped develop and lead sales for their hedge fund software product.

Since moving to New Canaan, Carrie has been active in several volunteer roles including St Mark’s Preschool (Board Member and Treasurer), South School PTC (President and Treasurer), Newcomers Club (Board Member and Committee Chair), New Canaan Community Foundation (Events Committee and Grant Review team), and New Canaan High School Service League of Boys (Board Member). In her free time, she is an avid swimmer and New Canaan sports enthusiast (Go Rams!).
