NCCF Awards $863,000 in Grants to 91 Nonprofits

NCCF allocated $863,000 in grants to benefit 91 nonprofit organizations in New Canaan and neighboring communities. The Foundation celebrated the grant recipients at its awards ceremony on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at Grace Farms in New Canaan, CT.

Grants awarded by category:

Arts, Culture & Community Resources: $223,000 to 19 organizations that provide community members with cultural, recreational and educational resources.

Health: $160,500 to 18 organizations that provide community members with information and access to services they need to stay healthy. The category includes, $111,000 to ten organizations whose work focuses on Behavioral Health, an area NCCF has prioritized for the past six years.

Human Services: $227,000 to 21 organizations that ensure community members are able to meet their basic needs.

Seniors & Special Needs: $128,600 to 13 organizations that ensure older adults with disabilities achieve and maintain a high quality of life.

Youth & Education: $116,750 to 18 organizations that ensure youth have academic, social, and financial support they need to succeed. Two additional organizations were supported solely by Newcomers co-investments.
