“The Survival Budget: Understanding Poverty for Local Working Families” Panel Discussion

  • New Canaan Library - Jim & Dede Bartlett Auditorium (map)

In partnership with the New Canaan Library, NCCF is proud to present “The Survival Budget: Understanding Poverty For Local Working Families”. An increasing percentage of our neighbors are living above the Federal Poverty Line yet struggle to afford basic expenses such as housing, childcare, food, healthcare, and more. A panel discussion with related experts in their fields will help us gain a clearer picture of what’s at stake in our communities, and what we might do about it. Moderated by NCCF’s Lauren Patterson, this conversation will feature: Isabel Almeida, President & CEO of United Way of Coastal and Western CT and Jesse Buccolo, Interim CEO of Norwalk ACTS.
